Tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette First Impressions

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Today I’ve got a beauty review for you and it is not skincare but make up! You all know how much I love skincare. However I love using make up as well.

I am not an eyeshadow person and especially not the glittery ones. I love Christmas trees with all its ornaments however I do not like looking like one. Maybe someday my views will change on it.

I am so happy I came across a matte eyeshadow palette.

Welcoming “Tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette” to my make up stash.

My Experience:

I’ve used a Tarte concealer before which was amazing. So I did not hold on any second to get my hands on this palette. The quality of this eyeshadow palette is outstanding. I watch so many Youtube videos where people do not really like using matte eyeshadows and find it hard to blend but this matte clay eyeshadow palette is really easy to work with. They are extremely soft, creamy and easy peasy to blend. All of these eyeshadows are very pigmented and sometimes I would not even bother using a primer.

For all working ladies, this palette has so many beautiful and wearable shades. You can tone them down a bit during the day and deepen them for an evening smokey eye look.

My first swatch (on the blog). I started with the lighter ones. With my tanned skin some of the colours are not showing that well but I assure you they look great on my eyelids. Well let’s just hope that you all can have an idea of how the colours look like. The lighter shades are great for daytime looks. I love that it has purple, brown and cream matte colours in it.

From top to bottom: Free Spirit, Caregiver, Super mom, Force of Nature, Natural Beauty, Wanderer.

I just cannot pick one favourite colour yet as it is used most of these colours for different purposes. I love free spirit as a base, force of nature/dreamer on my crease. Natural beauty compliments my skin tone beautifully. Even though caregiver is pink, I love mixing it with other colours for a subtle romantic look.

From top to bottom: Dreamer, Best Friend, Power Player, Multi-tasker, Bombshell, Fashionista.

Since these are darker shades they appear beautifully on this photo. I absolutely love the transition of the orangey shades to darker (purple) colours.
The purple shades in it are amazing for Autumn/Winter smokey eyes look. Fashionista is great if you want a completely black look.

Where to buy:
Sephora Australia, $69

My Verdict:

This is my first Tarte palette and I would definitely recommend it to all matte lovers!
I am going to play with this palette for a while and maybe do a tutorial 🙂
