Bio Oil Review

Hello November!!
November for me feels like the holiday season is already here. After Halloween, all you can see around is Christmas trees and decorations. I wonder what Santa would gift me this year!? 😛

Without any further ado, let’s get started with the review on one of my holy grail products, Bio Oil!!

My Experience:

I came across Bio Oil years ago but I was never interested in using it. After high school, I gained so much weight that there was stretch marks all over my body and I hated it. I did my research on what to use to get rid of it and everyone recommended Bio Oil so I got it. So, initially I got it only for my stretch marks and  it worked wonders. I barely ever used it on my face, until my night cream got over.
I usually take 2-3 of the orange coloured droplets on the palm of my hand and massage it in circular motion to my face and neck. Bio oil has a nice mild fragrance to it, maybe because of all the natural plant oils present in it. Surprisingly, even if it has mineral oil in it, it did not break out my skin. My fine lines were gone, my skin was not dull anymore (helped my uneven skin tone!!). It did help with the acne scars even my dark circles and pigmentation.
I have heard people saying that it takes lots of time to absorb in the skin but I always allow 1 minute for any of cream to absorb in my skin before applying any other product. I also used it under my make up sometimes and my skin did not get oilier. I loved using it during winter, which is when my skin get drier. My skin always felt so hydrated when I used it in winter.
Bio Oil has been in my skin care regimen for around 7 years now. I will continue re-purchasing it. It lasts me for 2-3 months, depending on the areas I am using it and only few drops are required. The transparent packaging makes it easy to know when you need to grab your next one. It also provides directions on how to use it to get the best out of it, depending on the skin issue you want to tackle. This product is magical, do try it!!

Where to buy:

Chemist Warehouse/ Priceline/ Target/ Big W, etc. (If you go on Bio Oil website and click on availability on your country’s name, it will show you where it is available and also the prices for different sizes).

It is available in 3 different sizes: 60ml, 125ml and 200ml.

Keep comparing the prices in different stores and supermarkets before buying it.
I always get the 60ml one which is $14.99 at the moment at Priceline.

My Verdict:

I am looking for a new day cream and night cream!! Any recommendations!?

Take Care,
Nitisha xx

I was just reading about BioOil story yesterday. Personally I have tried it about 2-3 bottles. It does very well on my dry skin but for scars i would say it takes a while. not a miracle but it's good.

With Bio Oil you need to be consistent. I reckon everyone should be consistent with every skin care products they are using to see results!!

Bio Oil is also a HG product to me when it comes to reviving dry skin. I love it for my legs, cant say anything about stretch mark though!
